My two cents.
I have two juvenile plants, one division and one a strike from a cutting. I had them on my windowsill while the division recovered and the cutting struck. On the windowsill, they were a pretty, pale lime green.
Once the temps dropped a bit I was able to get them outside, but only a couple months ago. The juvenile had a good turn around on the color, but didn't have enough time to get too red. The strike stayed green. Maybe getting them outside in the Spring, and time to mature, will give them a better opportunity to redden up.
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes the reason is that I make bad decisions.
