I am planning a small container pond.
I intend to have Sarracenia, Butterwort and Sundews. How high above the pond water level does the top surface of the soil for the above plants need to be?

Thanks all.

It all depends on the particular species. S. psittacina, s. purpurea, p. planifolia, and d. intermedia like it soggy and can be just above the surface and occasionally below. S. flava can be under water for brief periods but does well several inches above the surface. The same goes for s. leucophylla and s. oreophila but they both like to get dried out a bit in late summer/early fall.
