I’m from central Minnesota I saved a couple VFTs from Walmart like 2 months ago and now have 10 and 6 on the way… sounds a lil overboard but it truly makes me smile :D

Welcome to the forum! And no,that isn't overboard. This year I moved my plants into a 9x12 chicken coop and have outgrown it. It's all @ChefDean's fault.

Welcome!!! I got my VFT 3 weeks ago (I save 2 at a time ;) ). Since then I picked up 8 more. And had 4 shipments, with 3 on the way now. I don't know all the scientific names yet, but I have 16 VFT (4 variations), 10 sundew (5 variations), and 3 Sarra. I need to slow down.... too many in less than a month.

Holy crap! I only had 3 in my first month of growing... ;)

As for the scientific names, all VFT(no matter the cultivar name) are Dionaea Muscipula. As for the sundews, I can't tell you much other than all the species names start with Drosera(there are literally hundreds out there lol). And Sarracenia are obviously... well, Sarracenia! :D

I get ‘‘em for their looks lol I got some seeds from the seed bank for 2 kinds of drosera capensis. But I grow cacti, succulents, sunflowers, and VFTs indoors. I’m a lil hesitant/worried of planting until next spring.
