My local garden shop did not have any Osmocote. The guy at the information counter tried to tell me this is the same stuff. Anyone ever use it ?

Should work the same as any other slow release fertilizers. How does the back compare to the Osmocote nutrient wise?

I have not tried that brand yet, but a very good substitute for Osmocote is Nutricote. Works very similarly to Osmocote by increasing leaf jumps, but doesn’t tend to burn pitchers like Osmocote sometimes does. I’ve seen great leaf jumps on lots of my plants after fertilizing with Nutricote in replacement of Osmocote.

Osmocote is 14 -14 -14 while Dynamite is 13 -13 -13.
You can try a piece or two on a sarr/nep to see what happens.
If that doesn't work out too well, here's another source of Osmocote.

Just realized that Dynamite pellets have the same NPK value as the Botanica Nutricote I use, so I would expect it to work similarly.

I use Nutricote for some amazing growth. Nutricote is suppose to have better coating than the big box brands. This allows for more even release or a longer period of time.

Do the other products you mentioned also have different color pellets ? I’m concerned to use this if each one of the colors contains something different than the other colors.

One listing on ebay shows 100 day slow release, another (this one https://www.ebay.com/itm/233306253288?h ... SwMudbfKqh ) shows a 270 day slow release. If there really is a different nutricote 13-13-13, I think I would want to buy the one that takes 270 days, no ?

The release time shouldn't make too much of a difference if your putting the pellet in the pitcher. It will dissolve a bit faster since it will be constantly wet.

If it makes you feel better I have the 180 day release formula. Time will vary based on temperature.

Exactly that listing . Botanica is a great seller, too. They stopped by here in Eastern Washington to give a presentation on Angraecums once.

I got the bag in and forgot to ask you, do you place a single pellet in every pitcher on a plant, or just one pellet in a single pitcher per plant ?

I put one pellet in every pitcher right after they open. So it’s not flooding the plant with nutrients from all its pitchers at once haha. I also have one or two pellets in the sphagnum moss. Judging by the leaf jumps, they seem to appreciate it!
