Wow, I've been inactive for a while...

But anyway, my question for today is this: how intense do you guys find P. gigantea like their lighting? I've been growing mine under four t5 high output bulbs (11/2 inches away) for a little bit, and right now they are a bit of a pale-ish green and grow pretty slowly.
Meanwhile, my pirouette is starting to obtain that nice pink coloration and is growing at a nice pace.

Could the light be too strong for them?

Okay cool.

If you have any, how do you grow yours?

I have one in an East window which does okay, not super great but okay, I have one outside, in full shade, which struggled all summer (much too hot), and I have several under a 4 foot, two bulb, t5 fixture, which is on about 14 hours a day, and they are about a foot (or maybe a bit more) from the lights. I prefer an all mineral mix, but the outside one is in a gravel/dirt mix, I feed all of them foliarly with Maxsea 16-16-16 at a rate of 1/2 teaspoon per galleon once or twice a week.
