Hi everyone, especially Nelly, thank you for accepting me in your Flytrapcare forum. I'm tanjohnson from Singapore. Actually I have been doing vermiculture (rearing worms) for a few months. In the process, I encountered a proliferation of ngats and fruit flies. Tried many methods to bring the numbers under control.. then I discovered Carnivorious plants. I'm sure these plants will be happy to help me and also help themselves to the plentiful supplies of food.
So I've bought 2 each of Nepenthes plants and VFT & 1 small pot of Pinguicula Anagata (PA). So far the PA is quite effective in catching the ngats while I have to feed the Nepenthes and VFT.

Welcome to the forum. Pings do a great job of catching gnats. Flytraps and pitchers generally go after larger prey :D. Sundews also seem to do a good job on gnats.

This. Sundews are the kings of killing gnats.

I do vermiculture as well, do you use the bucket method? If so attach some mesh screen to the air holes to stop the gnats from getting into the bucket. You can also take a vacuum with a hose attachment to the inside of the bucket and suck them right out, do that once every 2 days and you should start to see a drastic reduction in thier numbers.
