I have to spray my house with Orthene Home Defense Isecticide and the main ingredient is DEET.
Is this chemical safe or harmful to CPs?

I cant find information on it, but I imagine it isnt safe. It kills grass and eats plastic. I would Move any Cp's ( or any houseplants really) from the area you are planning to spray. 1 hour after you spray you should be alright to put any plants back in thier proper place, just to make sure no particles that were lingering in the air land on them.

........or I could be wrong. Thanks, good info to have Dean!

Awhile ago I had some 95% DEET spray for deep forest backpacking, it leaked in my bag and totally destroyed/warped anything plastic it touched (other than a Nalgene bottle, those are indestructible by any means), that stuff was intense!

For $7 I'd have to pick one of those up myself!
