So I bought these pitchers from the local city floral shop about two weeks ago. Following advice from here, I’ve followed the steps I’ve been given to care for these guys but I noticed these smaller looking “shoots” or maybe it just newer pitchers trying to develop. Any thoughts or advice?

Looks like a new growth point/division to me, if so then congrats! You now have 2 sarracenia!

That's a nice looking purpurea. It might color up some more with brighter light. I am not sure about what shoots you are talking about but it does appear healthy.

I think he is talking about the baby pitchers on the bottom which is IMO a division.

I could see that. You definitely would want to grow it out a bit before dividing. Purps have a beautiful clumping habit.

Yeah the little “growth” it looks like at the bottom of the big pitcher. I put them up on the rail at the house to get a better picture but they are normally sitting in the bright Colorado sun daily at the house.

I have a small pot that turned blood red after getting a lot of light. No divisions yet, but hoping. I also have a bunch of babies that I am growing from seed.
