Hey guys,

I recently got a Sarracenia hybrid from a client at work who was offering to give it to me since she couldn't take care of it. We brought it home and It(thankfully)had fertilizer free Peat/perlite media. I read the tag, it simply said that It was a 'Sarracenia hybrid'(as seen in pic 3). I believe it is a Sarracenia x catesbaei(https://dancingoaks.com/products/sarracenia_x_catesbaei) or a Sarracenia Leocophylla 'Tarnok' (https://dancingoaks.com/products/sarrac ... lla_tarnok) as they are the 2 hybrids on the nursery's website that look similar to this plant. It is my first adult Sarr(I have some Flava and Moorei 'Lynda Butt' seedlings and that's about it), So I would have no idea how to identify sarrs. Pics below:

I'd be going more with the catesbaei. Definitely has the right shape brewing on that hood, but not showy enough for a "Tarnok".

Besides, x catesbaei is a hybrid between flava and purpurea, so that's probably it.

Update:

I think I found the plant on their website(https://dancingoaks.com/products/sarrac ... cher-plant). It is identified as 'Sarracenia Hybrids', just like the tag. It also does not state species. I will contact them and see if they tell me what species it is.

I'm seeing purpurea, flava, and a bit of something else...
Yeah thats what I also thought, definitely some Purp in there(slanted pitchers, open hood). I think it may have been an 'exclusive special' which is probably just an OP of the nursery's species...
