Greetings everyone,
I need lil advice in buying a new Nepenthes plant,

I had earlier tried growing Nep. St. Gaya and Nep. Ventrata, killed both the plants by my stupidity of keeping it in standing water, may be not a proper soil mix (I didn't have sphagnum moss that time) and also direct extreme sunlight without acclimating plant :(
and for some reason I grew the plants wrong way.

Now I am growing one Nep. Khasiana and thinking of buying another one, as I have gpot some sphagnum moss and learned some lessons from my mistakes. I am attaching the list of available Nep for sale and also the weather details of my place, Can you guys please guide me which one I should buy.

Nep. Smilesii
Nep. Mirabilis
Nep. Mirabilis X Viking
Nep. Mirabilis X Viking X Khasiana

Thank you

Are you keeping them outside? If yes, them maybe stick to lowland Nepenthes. If you google the ones you have on your list, you could see if they are lowland, intermediate, or highland. Of the ones that are lowland, buy the one that you like the most within your budget.
I grow my Nepenthes outside, in Net pots, but I pay attention not to let them get dry (or get too much direct sun). Also, my mixture is long fiber sphagnum moss, perlite, and orchid bark…

Looks like theres a good temp drop each night for most of the year, i would try intermediates too or a hybrid of low land and high land nepenthes, usually thrives in most conditions. I would also set up a 70% sunshade when theres a temp potential over 90 F should they have access to direct sun light. Regarding your previous tragedy…a high drainage pot with legs and high drainage nepenthes soil mix for about $10 with some live sphagnum on soil top plus often misting should get you to a good/easy start.

Hello Friends,
Got Nep. Mirabillis x Viking, after 5 days of shipping finally got it, it came in Coco peat but I wanted to repot it so I used sphagnum moss with perlite mix, as root system was long I initially tried wrapping root in sphagnum moss pieces but fear of breaking the roots I simply filled the pot with moss and parted it with my fingers, put the plant in and covered the roots with moss.

I did spray neem based fungicide to be sure.

please advise guys what you think, can I keep it in my balcony where there is no direct sunlight (indirect lighting) for time being?

Anything else I need to think about
Thank yu

Looking good, bag it WITHOUT direct sunlight if you want to keep those traps that came with it, add a bit of RO water in traps helps too. As long as grow tip looks good you are on track.
