I recently got my Nepenthes (less than a week ago) and it came looking pretty nice. Today, though, I noticed it’s getting brown/black at the “mouth” and on the body of the pitcher.

I’m attaching some pictures to show what I mean. Here is how it looked the first day

I live in Costa Rica (Central America), there are no seasons. Basically it either rains a lot or ir doesn’t. The plant is watered with distilled water, and receives bright indirect light. Upon closer inspection, there is also a small a gash at the bottom of the pitcher. May this be the problem? What may be the issue?

The plant is fine. Just an older pitcher dying off. As it adjusts, it will make more pitchers.

Thank you very much, I’ve never owned a pitcher before and since it’s the only one the plant has so far I got really worried
