So I usually stratify the sarracenia seeds on paper towel. Slightly moist, not ringing wet.
Never had any issues. This time I decided to use a light misting of Captan fungicide (1 TBL per gallon of distilled water) instead of pure distilled water.
A month or so later when I took them out of the refrigeration, the paper towel and ziplock bag with the water was fine. The one where I used the Captan was black (I assume with mold).
Anyone have any ideas why? and can I just soak the seeds from the Captan in more Captan for a bit, and use them, or are they toast ?
thanks
