My rescue has no pitchers, and I want to speed up its growth somehow.

If you haven't sprayed Maxsea on you plant yet, you can try that.
Although, I'd be patient and wait for the nep to grow its pitcher naturally.
You don't want to mess with it too much while it's still acclimating.
