I was lucky enough to see Darlingtonia in-situ last month. Definitely a bucket list plant to see growing in the wild! And thanks for the help with the specific site, Matt :D. All of the specimens I saw at this site were growing in cool fens from mountain water seepages at around 1400 ft asl. Supposedly there are some at the top of the mountain (around 4000 ft asl), although I hiked all the way up there and didn't see any, or any kind of habitat that looked like it would support them :|. Some other Darlingtonia sites I visited were almost boggish in nature, although this one had very good water movement below the grasses. Some plants were growing right off the roadside, in drainage ditches!

I know lol! And there were a few plants where I could see bees flying around and smashing up against the top of the pitcher.
