Maybe it's time to change my avatar again.
We sent a package to my mother-in-law in Utah. There had been zero updates for a minute, but it updated today. It was expected to be delivered to her by yesterday, but that didn't happen. It updated today as arriving in Memphis, 8 days after leaving Nashville, a distance of 211 miles.

I did a little math.
With the USPS, it traveled about .91 mph. (8x24÷211=.9099526066)
The average speed of a snapping turtle is 2.4 mph. Had I strapped the package to the back of a snapping turtle, it would have made the trip from Nashville to Memphis in 3.7 days. (211÷24÷2.4=3.6631944444)
Anyone got a spare snapping turtle?

Please do. If the package arrives in Utah before I need the turtle, I can at least turn it into Turtle Sauce Piquant and feed us.

Yes they do. Not only light or dark meat like chicken, they have areas that are like light and dark chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, fish, even almost vegetable-y.
Especially good in a Creole or an Etouffee.

Better not mail the turtle, just point him in the right direction and let him walk.

We always just batter them in some buddy rooster then fry them. To me, they taste a lot like alligator.

Tape a stick out in front of him and tie a chunk of fish to it and point him that way.

Frog legs?
I'll eat frog legs all day long, but I'll let someone else do the work to catch and skin them. That's a lot of work for a little meat.
Cajun seasoning, breaded, and deep fried.

I'll eat frog legs all day long, but I'll let someone else do the work to catch and skin them. That's a lot of work for a little meat.
Cajun seasoning, breaded, and deep fried.
My favourite part of the process is the catching and cleaning. Me and my friends just take a pellet gun and shoot them in our ponds then go out and get them. Then we just use a pocket knife and clean them out there.
