Last September I let a newly acquired vigorous flower. Unfortunately for the plant I did not care for it one bit I was disappointed with its growth, because its growth/trap size did not strike me as worthy of its name(kinda like ginormous). I may have hoped it would die flowering so close to winter.

Anyways the seed developed late October and I scraped them from their pods right into a few pots.

Come post heat wave weather, and I see these little fellas peeping up

Edited: Clarify the strike through, I was disappointed with the cultivar. Mentally wrote it off. I understand not every plant can be a "wow amazing!" I am a little indifferent towards it.

Can you imagine if parents treated their kids this way ?
Life is life. If you don’t have the maturity to care for it, then don’t.
I’m happy the seeds survived. Just not too hopeful they will be given the proper care.

I should have stated this differently: I simply let the thing grow. I watered and pulled any bog grass that sprouted and occasionally fed it. No extra love given.

Despite my initial disappointment with Vigorous, the plants are still alive and well. It is housed with the rest/the majority of my collection. I spend several hours each week hand feeding and inspect my collection daily.

Only incineration via thermonuclear warheads. The very soil tainted by their roots shall be turned to glass and ash. None shall survive.

Vigorous may not be a fancy cultivar, but it certainly lives up to its name. My Vigorous plants have huge traps and routinely catch wasps and mud daubers (when I say "catch", I mean "completely seal around the insect and digest it").
