Check out what @Matt and Leah from The Flytrap Store are offering as our prize this month. FTS Big Behemoth!
Image

Here is the description from the store website:
"FTS Big Behemoth is a nice, giant flytrap selected from our breeding stock here at FlytrapStore. Unlike most giants, which produce their largest traps in the spring, FTS Big Behemoth tends to produce large traps all year long and is normally one of the flytraps in our collection with the largest traps as the plants enter dormancy. FTS Big Behemoth is has a typical growth habit with upright growth in the spring and summer and low-lying growth in late fall and winter."

You definitely want to be in the running for this, so let's see those sundews!

I've got a lot of glamour shots of my Spats and Capis but this plant is something special. It's my only Brazilian species that's actually happy with my growing conditions.

Drosera latifolia

Really unique looking lati... does it have location info? Most of mine have shorter, stouter leaves.

Sorry, no. And when I went to look on Ebay for the seller, things got a bit strange. I bought it from "kevin15joel" in May 2020. My order history now lists the seller as "nivoras-pr" and I didn't think Ebay allowed you to change your name. Anyhow, it's worth a message. It may actually be the same people and they may have location data. I'll let you know if I find out anything.

EDIT: For those interested, I just heard back from the Ebay seller and the location data is "Itarare, a municipality of Brasil."

Thanks for the info. Would be really interested to see its origins, lati is a fairly variable species but that may be the most narrow-leaf clone I’ve seen.
