Hello everyone,
In January, I bought from a seller a bare root sarracenia flava which he claimed to be either a common flava var flava or a flava var rugelli. When its dormancy ended, it grew a couple pitchers that didn't look like either flava variations. The pitchers didn't have any blotches or red veining. My gut tells me that this is the rarer flava var copper top. Does anyone know exactly what this sarracenia is?

It is still too early to tell. That mouth and cap almost look like an oreo. Let it mature some more and put up another pitcher and we might get a better idea. I think you are right, though, I don't see anything that would indicate rugelli in it.

I think you're onto something Panman, I also ordered an unlabeled sarracenia flava x oreophila so this might be it. It's strange how veining/blotching occurs later on in pitcher formation since my leucos have their light windows and everything after they open.

3 MONTH UPDATE:
The sarr that's pictured above is definitely a flava x oreophila.
Now, I took a photo of my sarr flava. I do beleive that it's a flava var. flava and not a flava var. cuprea.
Can anyone confirm this?

Definitely not a var. cuprea; var. flava looks right.
