My Sarracenia x Dixie Lace has taken off again this year. Give it decent care and this hybrid grows like a weed. My sister didn't have a good place for the plant, so she gave it back to me. I had to repot it to save it: 50% of the rhizome on one side was good, 25% in the middle was dead, and 25% on the other side was good. The bigger piece went to Matt, and I kept the smaller piece. I put it in a 5.5-inch / 14-centimeter pot eight months ago, and the plant is already outgrowing it. I'll have to repot it again at the end of next winter; this time, it's going in a 10-inch / 25-centimeter pot. Here is the cultivar registration if you want to read the details.

Gotta second that, MikeB. Dixie Lace is a great cultivar. Verrrrry vigorous! Wonderful coloration and veining. Nothing bad I can say about the plant. It's a dandy! Yours looks very nice, BTW.

I picked up a tiny division of it this year.

My Dixie Lace was growing so fast that I had to slip-pot it into an 8-inch / 20-centimeter diameter pot in the middle of the growing season. The plant didn't even notice. Here is what it looks like a month later: This plant is a beast!

Ohhh yeah! Dixie Lace can be considered a beautiful carnivorous "weed"! Very hardy and vigorous to say the least!! Here's some of mine. Apologies for the messiness, they're overdue for a trimming!

That sounds good. I'm light on Flavas. Killed many in the past, trying to do better by them!

You will have to work pretty hard to kill these guys. Keep them soggy and change the media every couple of years. They go gang busters.
