I just want to scream right now because my vft were finally doing okay after a slow start, being burnt to a crisp, and recovering from spider mites. I hover over my plants daily and until an hour ago they were free of pests. Then I see these aholes crawling all over ever single pot. Hundreds of them everywhere! It’s going to be raining for the rest of the night until Saturday morning. Saturday morning I am going ballistic on them!

Spray those hellspawn down with 3in1!

I’ve already used Floramite and 3 in 1 this year on spider mites. I have to go with Avid next.

It rained a lot today and I collected enough water to submerge one 5x5x7 pot. I chose the one that had the most thrips crawling around on it yesterday. I was expecting to see hundreds of thrips floating up in the water, but I only saw two. Is it possible they showed up on my pots and took off? I also saw a couple of predator thrips yesterday feeding on the yellow ones. Can a handful of predator thrips eat hundreds of pests? The predator thrips were black and grey and larger than the yellow thrips, but they were also pretty tiny. I’m going to hold off spraying until I can figure out what’s going on.
