What time is it? That's right, it's giveaway time! I have a pack of seed from an underaprreciated species going up for the prize. The seeds are from a Pinguicula primuliflora x self. This plant flowered with a very pale flower. That may be genetic or it may be condition, I don't know. Here are two pictures from last month's photo contest. The first is the plant the seed is from. The second is from a plant that @tracieh is growing.

That last comment made me need to clarify. Planifolia is a warm-temperate pings. From the ICPS website:
"Warm temperate Pinguicula ... can be found in warmer regions of the northern hemisphere. They tend to be found in peaty bogs. These plants have the same type of leaves the whole year round and don't have any special adaptations to survive freezing weather. They are short lived perennials and you should pollinate the flowers and collect seed if you want to have plants long term." https://carnivorousplants.org/grow/guid ... Pinguicula

Also, the reproduce from leaf pullings easily as well.

Guess I must have read up a different type accidentally. In that case I'll remove myself from the giveaway. I can provide the conditions for it to live I just have no confidence it'll thrive. Thanks for the clarification!

These are warm temperate pings, not as glam as Mexican pings. They also grow in conditions similar to flytraps but without the hard winter dormancy. They are not especially difficult, though.

You would be describing me about 6 months ago. I find the pings pretty easy. I have never germinated them from seed so I can't comment on that, but it is worth a go at any rate.
