Submitted for your consideration. I have two green threadleaf sundews. One is a confirmed tracyii with a pink flower. The other plant is apparently anthocyanin free and has a white flower. Would it be considered a tracyii 'White Flower'?

There is a White flowered variety of D. tracyii, a couple nurseries sell it, accordind to a Google search.

I'd separate that one from your other tracyiis and make sure it doesn't get cross pollinated.

Is this threadleaf sundew one that I gave you? I'm asking because I found what looks like an anthocyanin-free Drosera filiformis in my collection (it hasn't bloomed yet, so I can't be 100% sure). I didn't have a Drosera tracyii until late last summer, so it can't be a hybrid.

Yes, this is out of the batch of seedlings you sent me. Such variety. So this is likely an anthocyanin free one. Cool.

From the cultivar registration:

Drosera 'Dreamsicle' = Florida all-red form of D. filiformis var. filiformis × anthocyanin-free D. filiformis var. tracyi

Rather than a back-cross with D. filiformis var. filiformis, I think your plant and mine are from a Dreamsicle self-pollination, and this particular combination reinstated the anthocyanin-free D. tracyi. I'm curious to see how big my plant gets. If it reaches over a foot (30 cm) tall, then it definitely has the tracyi genes in effect.
