That looks awesome, man. And is that water bottles cut in half?If so,that is a great idea that I somehow never thought of.Are you growing it indoors by the looks of it?Anyhow, that is a great looking plant that looks like you really took care of it lovingly.Good job!

I might use water bottles! Will the bottle edges cut the leaves?

Water bottles aren't sharp enough.
Just wondering, how long do these bottles last?

I’d still melt/bend the edges just in case. Plastic bottles are usually very thin, so I think a year max in direct sun.

Wouldn’t you need to worry about the transparent bottles allowing light into the root system? I know some plants like orchids actually do photosynthesis through their “roots” as well. But I think the reason most post are opaque is that you want to avoid light getting into the root area.

Well, for a VFT I don't think the root photosynthesis would apply as much as if you had something like a D.Adelae in a clear pot.

Well, for a VFT I don't think the root photosynthesis would apply as much as if you had something like a D.Adelae in a clear pot.Now those things multiply through the roots like CRAZY.

I think what Supercazzola was getting at is that there are some plants that will die if the roots are exposed to light. I don't know if flytraps are one of them.
