I usually place my succelents in full sun, but you could also place it by a window if you'd like.
Drainage is very important and make sure to water only once a week or once every 2 weeks. This prevents overwatering and root rot.
Succelents shouldn't be too hard to care for, they are by far one of the most unkillable plants I've grown!

I water mine a little bit once a week.

I've heard that full sun really brings out the colors but for some succelents, less light means darker/better color.
I have a jade plant and I did a little expiriment on it.
When I left it in shade, it stayed nice and green.
With full sun, its leaves turned reddish on the edges.
For Panman's plant, I'm guessing indirect sunlight might be better for color.
Succelents aren't finicky about light, it really just depends on what colors you prefer.

Her plant appears to be an Echeveria. These are typically full sun plants, though you will need to harden it off. Being that you are in Georgia, I would recommend a very porous/free draining mix. You could do cactus soil cut 50/50 or 30/70 with perlite or chicken grit. Better would be to make your own mix of small grade fir bark and chicken grit ... might even be able to do turkey grit. I would clean off as much of the current potting mix as possible. Don't be surprise if some leaves pop off in the process. They do so fairly easily. If that happens. place the leaves on a warm bright (not full sun) windowsill until roots form. Then pot them up. Each leaf will generate one or more plants. Your high humidity will be a possible issue with things being able to stay wet too long. Good air circulation can help mitigate that.
