a while ago i posted that my VFT suddenly went black fast and the risome was left so i replanted it in peat and pertlite mix. this morning i notice this coming out the risome.

is the plant coming back? or is this something else?

It looks like it.If the Rhizome is healthy and white,there is a very high chance that is a baby plant regrowing through photosynthesis if the Rhizome isn't dead.Keep us updated with pics.

On many flytraps, if the petioles and traps die off but the rhizome is healthy, the base of the petioles will sprout new plants (like leaf-pull propagation without having to pull off the leaves). This is what your plant did.
