My typical VFT is coming out of dormancy, and all the traps are growing low to the ground.According to most images of Typicals, the traps are supposed to grow upwards? Also, any new growth on the plant starts high, but as the baby "unborn" traps keep growing and progressing, they just eventually grow to the ground as well.I saw some videos, and they mentioned that the higher-growing traps are supposed to grow back during the end of dormancy, around February-March.I know that some cultivars are supposed to grow very low to the ground, but I don't think that Typicals are supposed to.Will the traps start growing high,or am I wrong and they will stay low?Any feedback is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Max

My typicals will typically grow low and wide when first coming out of dormancy to catch the rays. Then, after a bit, they'll throw some skyward.
This pic is a repotting I did today. They're all divisions from the same plant that I divided over winter, but I underestimated the room they needed, so I repotted again. You can see a few that are reaching up and a few still laying low, but they're all technically the same plant.

They'll each do their thing when they're ready, don't sweat it that your particular plant may not be doing the norm. If it's alive and green, enjoy it.

Apparently, it is a picture of an albino flytrap in a snowstorm.

This guy hasn't been in dormancy but has no intention of going vertical.

That's a recent repot into a 3 inch pot. In going to need to slip him into something bigger if he keeps this up.
