I keep them in a spot that gets morning sun, then dappled light for the rest of the day, to keep cool. They have never gotten to those really dark burgundy colors inside of the traps, but only a light pink. Do they need more?

I'm pretty sure you mentioned that your flytraps are typical. Typical flytraps stay pink, they're not supposed to turn deep burgundy. If you'd like a deep burgundy flytrap, check out Akai Ryu (Red Dragon) or something like that. These cultivars stay red when you give them enough sunlight.

Is it outside? How long has it been there? How long have you had the plant? Where are you located? I know you answered some of these questions before, but I have the memory of a goldfish.
