Hello Nepenthes crew . I recently bought this pitcher plant from my local nursery and I am unsure as to what cultivar it most closely resembles (I know it is technically a typical because it didn't come with a tag but knowing which cultivar it is most similar to will help me provide the correct conditions). Also, I know that most pitcher plants sold in Canada are usually nepenthes ventrata or x miranda. However, I can't easily identify this plant as either. Thanks in advance!

Actually, after doing a bit more research I think it is nepenthes x miranda or some derivative. It was hard to tell because it is juvenile. Let me know if you agree.

Yeah I know it doesn’t look like a classical x miranda but I have it in a lot of sunlight and I’m not sure if juvenile pitchers more readily acquire red coloration.

Also, I think variety is the term to use. I’m used to hovering around the flytrap forums and using the term cultivar. But I don’t think x miranda or ventrata are cultivars but rather just naturally occurring varieties (and hybrids at that). Feel free to correct my terminology!

I definitely see some ventrosica in there, other than that I can only guess

Definitely lowii x ventricosa. It has become readily available in Europe too over the last year or two. I guess one of the big Dutch microprop nurseries has been churning them out. I picked one up last year - seems like an easy, strong grower.

Wow, nice find! Looks like lowii x ventricosa. They are pretty common in Europe but are still a little spendy in the states. Hopefully they eventually get to be the new Ventrata .
