I've actually never raised a VFT to flowering age. I bought a Korean Melody Shark from the flytrap store. I can't tell if its healthy or what's going on. My understanding is it grows long traps but new traps are on and off long or stumpy. Also is this a flower stalk should I trim it or try to grom some seeds from it?

Also I'm aware the medium probably shouldn't be green I've tried a lot to kill the mildew no luck.

its safer to cut it, a unhealthy VFT can kill itself flowering.

I can't see a picture if you attached one, but in general, it is safer to cut a flower stalk. Cut it at ~5 inches (50 cm), and push into the soil.

I would not recommend trying for seeds unless you have had decent experience and are confident in your plant's health.

Definitely looks a tad etiolated. I'd chop the flower and move it to brighter lights (preferably outdoors). Also a repot wouldn't hurt.

I was thinking that too but wasn't sure I was seeing it right, particularly with Korean Melody Shark.
