Hello everyone,
When you receive seed packets from the seedbank, do you dump the seeds in a 4 inch or 6 inch pot? I currently have all my D. binata seeds in a 4 inch pot; should I do the same with my D. intermedia seeds? Is there a pot size difference for bulk seeds?

Depends on the seeds, but I generally use smaller pots to conserve media just in case they don't germinate.
For my sundews, I go get plastic shot glasses from the dollar store and drill a few holes in the bottom. These don't take up much room or media, but I limit it to three or four dozen seeds.
For VFT's I use two inch pots and maybe put a dozen seeds in. If I'm lucky, the flower department at my local Kroger has a bunch of empty succulent pots that they let me have for free. They were just going to throw them out anyway. (That reminds me, I need to check with them for more)
For Sarrs, I use a four inch pot, sow the seeds, and stratify them. This gives me a couple of years to let them grow before I need to repot.

Likewise, and for the same reasons. The only difference is that I treated myself to 2" plastic pots like these: http://www.amazon.com/50-Pack-Water-Dan ... ef=sr_1_11 They're sturdier than the plastic shot glasses I can find around here (which are brittle) and easily re-usable.

I use these high quality, very expensive 2 inch seed pots with built in humidity domes. I have to drill a few holes in the bottom, though. Generally I'll do half a pack of drosera seeds or 12 to 15 flytrap or sarr seeds in one of these.

Kroger FTW!!! They totally aren't the folks writing my paychecks... :D

Seriously though, I use the rotisserie chicken containers for mass seed sowing! The succulent pots and shot glasses are great ideas I hadn't thought of. Those would fit perfectly in my net pot set up to try germination out there. This will save me a ton of space if it works!!!

I'll be using the 4 inch pots then. A humidity dome would be nice but I'll be going cheap with a ziplock bag. I hope this gives me some germination.

My family goes through a lot of that yogurt. I should start saving them again and ship them out to forum users that don't like yogurt.

For VFTs, I use large take-out containers with lids.

I find this easier to keep moist (after the lid comes off), having lots of seeds in one large container, rather than little separate ones.

I got some of those yocrunch containers and I sowed some vft seeds in. Do you guys put holes in the lid from the beginning right?

I actually don't put any holes in it. I just remove the top daily and put it right back on. Once the seeds have started putting out real leaves, I just cook the lid a bit to ease off the humidity and harden them off.
