Where can I get a good amount (a gallon or 2) of pre-mixed soil online? Please send links. Thanks!

Most people I know when looking at needing a lot of media at the ready go buy a bale of peat, a bag of perlite, and a five or ten gallon plastic tote with a lid from the big box hardware store. Then they'll dry mix up a big batch of media at about a 2:1 peat:perlite, maybe 3:1, then all they have to do is scoop some out and rehydrate it. If you want less perlite, mix in a little peat into what you scooped out. More perlite, same thing, just mix in more perlite. You then have your own pre-mixed soil waiting for you. Mix with water as needed.
I know one member will dry mix up 20 gallon totes with about 15 gallons of media. Then, a couple days before he repots his plants, he'll add water to where things are floating almost to the top of the tote and let it sit, covered, until he's ready. He might have to add more water and mix it a bit, but it mostly absorbs the water over the time it sits.

I should have made it more clear, i only have a couple plants, and I don't think i need too much. I'm also not making a bog garden yet. Do you recommend any pre mixed soils online?

What do you grow? There are some fairly good premixes out there but if you grow Neps and someone suggests a VFT mix or a Ping mix then things might not work out so well.

I have experience from selling soil online and it is much more worth it to mix your own. I sold it for ~$3 per gallon and the shipping ~$8 drove the total price up a ton. I’m still not sure how those people on eBay sell those sandwhich bags full of soil and still make a profit when you factor in shipping...

The thing is when you mix your own you know what's in it and you can play about a little to see what works best for your conditions. This year I'm experimenting with 3 growing medias to see what works best here, I just jot the mix down on the pot. we'll see how it goes.

You can usually buy some bales of peat moss and big bags of perlite at a home improvement store in the garden section, usually the bigger the bag the less likely it is to have added fertilizers though you should definitely check before buying a bag. Here are pictures I found online of the stuff I buy

I have been getting the peat from big box stores like "lowes" in 3.8cf bales. I get my perlite from a local "Feed and Seed" store in 4cf bags for some reason, big box stores cant even compete in perlite prices with "sloans feed and seed"

Its just nice to have perlite and peat on hand anyway. Add perlite to normal potting soil for a cactus mix or peat for a acidic water retentive mix. its just really nice to be able to tailor the mix to the plant.

A few years ago i tilled 10cf of perlite in to my garden it went from clay like to potting soil lose .
