Anybody have some thoughts on this? I was initially going to go with LED til a friend of mine who’s an experienced grower said that fluorescent is better for trap reddening. However, most sites say that fluorescents are outdated tech and produce way too much heat when kept at a close distance. Regardless of the light, my plant will get 35+ moles of full spectrum per day which I was told is the most important thing. Is it true that fluorescents would be better?

I've never had a problem with dedicated LED grow lights. They can get very hot too, but at the end of the day it will be more energy efficient to run them, so that's why I use them
