What is better, Maxsea/foliar feeding or live insects?

If plants are growing outside, let them eat bugs.
If plants are growing inside, where there are few or no bugs, then a little MaxSea is OK.
Bugs are better, if available.
That is what these plants have evolved to eat.
This is strictly my opinion, my 02¢ worth.

To answer this question, you have to put strength and concentration into consideration... Maxsea is pretty strong and has to be both diluted and sprayed strictly once per month. Bugs on the other hand are "small packets of fertlizer" and aren't as strong as Maxsea. You can feed CPs up to aprox 3-4 bugs per month with no problem (I'm referring to sarrs, neps, and flytraps). Drosera are very different so I will not refer to their feeding habits.
If you're careful like me, you can give CPs a dose of Maxsea + some bugs (fed over many weeks). :)
