We sold our house and are looking for a new one so we are moving into temporary quarters while e house hunt. I got all the plants moved over today but temporarily have them in the shade while I figure out the best light situation. I also have to figure out water. I'm used to turning on the hose and having 72ppm water. Hopefully I can keep these guys happy until I find their new forever home

Calen Hall recently moved to a new house. I don't envy him moving this collection.

That would be my daughter's oak tree that she grew from an acorn and wants to plant at the new house. :D

One plus a second mini bog. I can't wait to find our new place and get a proper bog.

Don't envy the process, but hope you find the new home of your dreams (with plenty of plant room)!

Hopefully, the market in your area isn't as insane as it is here. In my area, it is a sellers' market right now with sellers expecting and getting more than their homes are really worth.

Pretty much a sellers market everywhere in the south.
If I sold my house today for what the price per square foot the last two in my area sold at, I'd sell for 105K more than what I paid less than three years ago.
If I sold it for it for what the builders are asking for per square foot for new builds, it would sell for 160K+ more than what I bought it for.
However, I'd probably be able to get even more than area comps because my house is only one of 15 in my area with a three car garage, and it's only one of two in the area with three floors above ground. Not to mention the improvements I've done already in the time we've been here. I know I could get around 400K easily for my house right now, maybe 410K.
I just hope it doesn't drop out so we can still get a good price when we do sell in a few years.

Housing prices are unbelievably high right now! Like @ChefDean, I hope they hold up -- at least through this year. I'm worried that the bottom is going to drop out soon though, much as it did back in 2006. I guess we shall see.

It's looking very, very likely that Leah and I will be moving this year as well. After the most recent visit with my parents in Missouri that I just returned from a couple of days ago, we talked a lot about Leah and moving there and taking over the farm while assisting my parents in their elderly years. Looks like we're going to start the process of getting about a 4000 sq. ft. greenhouse built this year on the Missouri farmstead for a new FlytrapStore headquarters! Then we will move all of our plants sometime late this fall or early winter to put them in the new greenhouse. What a huge job!

Also, we've turned our house in Ashland, Oregon, into a business so we have a lot of remodeling things to do to make it look presentable again, but I'm hoping we can get most of them done this summer and then list the house for sale this fall after we move to Missouri. Lots to do between now and then so I'm feeling a little stressed out about it already!

If you do that, we'd only be a short four hour drive apart. Well, maybe three hours and fifteen minutes the way I drive.
I could come visit for a weekend, stay a little longer, eat all your food, breathe all your air, leave body hair in your shower drain, plug up your toilet, etc. Then, after Leah kicks me out, you'll find that a few hundred flytraps got up and walked off all by themselves.
I'm down, see you next year!

Sounds like a plan! I'm sure Leah will love the extended visit
