Is anyone else having issues with editing posts? After some experimenting, I found that I can temporarily edit a post I recently made but I can't go back and edit a post made yesterday. Thought it was a bug at first but new posts can be changed though it locks after a few minutes. Unfortunately, I can't edit my grow list or sales thread.

I was just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem

I saw the same thing. In my case someone had quoted my post, so maybe that locks it out?

I've noticed I am not able to edit my posts through Tapatalk, but I can do it online through the website.

I use the website, and I can edit my posts just fine, just to make sure I’ll attempt to edit this later tonight.

Wish there was a way to @ mention someone (ie Matt). This is what I see (no edit from the drop down list any more). Only “report this post”

Error from Tapatalk even if it shows edit as option. This is even when I’m still able to edit from the web browser.

I get this whenever I try to edit on Tapatalk, but I am still able to edit on the website.

@Supercazzola, you just have to tap on the row with the like, dislike, and quote buttons on it. Then it appears next to the like button

Not for me. It only has report this post as a drop down after about an hour. It acts like there is a time in which you can edit and then after that, you can not. Maybe once someone replied to your post? Or maybe a certain number of hours. Who knows. Hoping Matt can shed light into what changed

The edit button has disappeared for me too on my post earlier today.

Test:If you see this my edit button works.

Yeah, I recently had to make a change to the forum set up because we had spammers that register legitimate accounts and actually make posts that look legitimate too but then they come back like a week later and edit the post to put in links to whatever it is they're trying to sell or build SEO for. Annoying!

I changed it so that posts can't be edited after 5 minutes. I plan to come back with a different fix later that will still allow editing of older posts but I'm traveling now to help my parents out in Missouri after my dad just had heart surgery. Thus, I won't be able to get a fix put in for at least another week or so.

Ahhh. Disregard that message then. Hope your dad gets well soon.

OK, I've finally put in a fix to keep spammers at bay. Regular users of the forum should be able to edit posts now but spammers should be prevented from coming back later and editing their posts to drop links.

Please let me know if things seem to be working for you. Some of you might be affected by the recent change I made so if you find yourself unable to edit your posts, let me know and I can put in a workaround for you.
