The timer goes in your wall electrical outlet and one power strip cable with electrical sockets goes in your timer.
The first way :
Don't put all your T8 fluorescent lamp cables in one power strip.
The second way :
The red lines in the drawing i made are further power strip cables you can use for your T8 fluorescent lamp cables.
Third way :
When you insert a T8 in the fixture, don't stick it and move it in a horizontal position, make it slightly diagonaly, but watch out so it will not drop down.
