I received my Spring Sarracenia sale plants from Matt last week, and got them planted up today. I ordered 3 and received 4, Thanks Matt and Leah. I used 50/50 Peat Moss, and Perlite. I was just wondering if these look like they were planted correctly

I can 't wait to get them outside with all my dormant VFT's. First growing season for me, and I am so looking forward to it.

Appreciate any feedback

Thank you.

So with VFT's the rhizome should be completely covered, and with Sarracenia's the rhizome should be a bit exposed. I will make the corrections to mine.

Take a look at the diagram here. Also, Sarracenia like their soil to be damp-to-wet. Mine are usually sitting in water that's 10-20% of the pot's height. I let the saucer/tray run dry then give them another small "flood" of water.

I have a couple that are getting buds. I have been taking them outside as the weather has been very nice. Only for a few hours a day to get the acclimated.
