Hey all, I'm about to receive a N. Hamata AW clone 1 this Wednesday, I am glad to finally have this species. Now, all I need are burb, eddy, and lowii to have the holy grail species!

Anywho, I have figured out how to keep Rajah and Jacquilineae in 75-78 days, 68-70 nights, with high light, but I hear hamata is a light hater or a shadier species. Does anyone think these temps are too mild or could it work?

Thanks!

Yeah the temps sound fine for hamata. It's been my understanding that jacqueliniae is similarly light-sensitive so I wouldn't expect you to have any issues.

You’re forgetting macro and villosa on your holy grail species list!

Like the others said, ham definitely likes lower light. Brad’s Greenhouse made a really good vid on hamata culture. Clone 1 seems more light sensitive for me, even for hamata which already doesn’t like a lot of light. My nep setup isn’t particularly bright and hamatas still pitchers well (pic attached). My clone 2s seem to like more light than the clone 1, which currently has redder leaves than I’d like. Ham also likes a fairly moist media (lots of sphag), especially compared to ultramafic species.
