Is it normal for a Pygmy to dry out after you harvest the gemmae? Will it come back?

I don't have a ton of experience with harvesting gemmae and what happens afterwards. But this winter I had some plants that produced gemmae, and looked really spent afterwards. Eventually they started producing fresh dewy leaves. And seem mostly recovered now a few months later.

I'll be curious what other folks have experienced.

This winter was weord for mine, the smaller ones looked like they were dying while producing, turned brown like yours. The bigger ones made regular gemmae and then some WEIRD looking gemmae, but they are back to normal now...

Yours look fine, there is still green in the crowns of both, so they should come back fine.

Occasionally a plant here and there will die, but if there's still green it should come back, producing new leaves. Some do seem slower than others to respond.

My scorpioides look really ratty right now, pretty much just gemmae and old spent leaves. But the biggest one just put out a burst of fresh dewy leaves, so I'm hopeful!
