Once my Neps grow some pitchers I'll drop a pellet into them once a month, but only because my wife bought it just for them. However, once the Japanese Beetles come out, the pitchers will get stuffed with those.
My Sarrs are few enough and small enough that I'll just fill a pitcher a week with Maxsea mixed 1/4 tsp into 1 gallon of water.

If you're looking to do that, I had good success getting some cheap blunt ended syringes from amazon that I'd feed my smaller Sarrs with. I use it for cephalotus too. It's very convenient. I hit the Sarr pitchers once a week as well and use it for more control. At the very least it'll get a little liquid in there. If there's a little spill, don't worry about it too much. Sarrs are tough and have shown decent benefits from light soil fertilization (wouldn't water with Maxsea though)
