This is from seedbanks so far only 1 sprout. Look like d.capensis? Lets wait for it to grow bigger! thanks again

Will algea affect germination? What can i do if it does?

I got mine from seedbank in December 2020. They are a bit more developed than yours. Mine look just like what they say they are.

Jasonic2007, at that stage, pretty much all dews look alike. That could be a Spat, a Cape, a Binata, a Capillaris, etc. You have to let them flesh out a bit more. +/- 1mm plant size is too small for an ID from a pic, unless you're Shadowtski. Y'all, that dude is mad magical sometimes!
While mislabeled seeds in the seed bank have happened, it is very rare (I know of only two), so these are likely Spats.

Silica sand or aquarium gravel (granite or marble) can be sprinkled over the top of algae infested media.
It'll block the light to the algae and stop it from spreading.
Just don't bury your Drosera seedling.

Thanks for your sharing! but i cant find the seedings anymore, they are so small >.<
Speaking of silica sand, not sure if is my seller or product issue... i sprinkled it on top of 1 of my red piranhas(VFT) and it turned all black, i quickly removed, hope i still can save the babies.....

I received my seeds around Christmas and in January, algae started spreading over all pots as well. I should have sterilized and thoroughly wash sphagnum moss I used. I couldn't use silica sand because I would definitely kill off the seedlings. Instead, I tried keeping them a bit drier for a while and wash the pots as much as I could from the bottom. Water is still brown, but as the seedlings started to grow I stopped panicking about it.

Long story short, fast forward to their current status.

Some of the seedlings are unnaturally aggressive and started growing extremely fast. Fungus gnats only helped them do even better. Some of the seedlings are much slower and smaller, they are colored red and they don't get as much food. I hope they get larger and start munching gnats soon. There are not many left though.

I’m not so smart, but that last photo seems like it is a cape, not a spatulata. Can anyone else comment?

The photos from Tarzanus show several species.
I see D. 'Hercules', D. capensis, as well as some spatulata looking stuff.

Cool, alright maybe i should let it dry up 1st and water it again, cant give those algea lights too...

then again, sterilized will prevent algea?

Do not let it dry out. I just kept it a bit dryer instead of soaked with water.
You can also try using toothpick and aerate the algae infected parts by lifting them a bit and scratching the surface.
Sterilizing helps for a while. By the time algae find their way into the pots, hopefully the seedlings are large enough. When the seedlings get larger, algae can't overgrow them and they can easily coexist.

The only way to eliminate the algae growth is by washing and leeching all the nutrients from the substrate.
