Hello!
Just wanted to share with you guys the progress of my blue jacaranda seedling. I got the seeds in one of those bonsai kits and out of the three or four I planted, only one sprouted. It sat in the biodegradable pot and the peatmoss that came with it for a while, in which it never grew much. Recently though, I repotted it into a plastic pot with a miracle grow houseplant/succulent soil mix, and it really seems to be taking off now.

Very nice! Yeah, unlike CPs these do better with fertilizer lol. If you haven't try to get it acclimated to the outdoors and it'll take off. I could've done better but it grew 3 feet last year. I'm also planning on doing bonsai with it but the trunk needs to widen out some. Jacaranda is probably my favorite tree lol, makes stellar guitars too.

Indeed they do lol. I recently gave it a small dose of orchid fertilizer and it seems to be enjoying it. Do you think it could handle direct sunlight at this stage?

What I do with these things is generally I'll put it out on the patio (shade, covered) for a night to harden up to the elements, then I begin to give it an hour of sun the first day, 2 the second, 4, 6. By the end of the week it's usually in 6+ hours and left outside overnight. I'd give it morning first or indirect.
