I've done two.
My first was a decade ago in Utah, I got a Bugbat. It grew to fill a 6 inch wide pot and flowered almost all summer long. I think it's still kicking, but I don't know. When I moved to Kentucky, I gave it to my wife's Aunt and, a year later, some of her family was over for a Christmas party. After the party she noticed it was missing. One of her relatives actually stole it from her.
My other one is two years old now and doing great. I'm pretty sure it's a Rubra cross, and I'm hoping it takes off this year.
Both of them were in the completely dried moss. The rhizomes in the first one were dried out but still grew. The rhizomes in the second were active and growing.
