I bought a ping from California Carnivores a little bit ago and had a stow away that turned out to be a capensis. Now I have something new sprouting in the pot. Anyone know what these little sprouts are?

Those are sporophyte stalks from the moss. That is how the moss reproduces.

Oooohhhhh... I had no idea! This is my first plant with live moss. Thanks for the info! It has been so much fun to see life prevail in this little plant pot!
