I'm so excited! I just got a healthy gorgeous Heliamphora minor X heterodoxa for Christmas. I snapped about 50 photos of it. I thought I'd share some with you all here on the forum. Man, I'm pumped about this plant!

You have some really good depth of field with your camera, what are you using?

Some of the photos are with my Canon EOS Rebel Xsi with a 100mm Macro lens and others are with my old faithful Canon Powershot SD500 Digital ELPH.

Very nice, I love macro lenses. I used to shoot a lot of 35mm film with a Nikon F3 body and an F2.3 macro. I love that lens...too bad it belongs to my father

Thanks hb! I love the way the light is hitting it and the little hairs are glowing golden in the sunlight....so pretty!

I love the red tops and insides of the pitchers too...

Curse you Matt! You're making me want some sweet tropical pitcher plants now! Start small...must...keep it small at first...
