Thought I'd share some pics of what a couple of my pings are doing. Not exactly sure what causes the Ehlersiae to do that but it is the second plant to decide to break itself into numerous offshoots. Last time around I pulled them out and got around 12 plantlets which was wild for a plant thats about 1.5 inches in diameter. This one decided to one-up the other by growing plantlets through the crown up top as well. The pirouette decided when it was time to flower that it wanted to be several plants. It's cool because it shows the different ways in which pinguicula can divide itself, both splitting the crown and offshoots throughout the plant.
Edit: I've been thinking about it and I wonder if the base suffered a trauma of some sort and died off while the leaves themselves were undamaged and worked like pullings off a central "stalk" though the first plant survived when I removed the plantlets. Idk.
