Oops. I collected gemmae from D. x 'Carbarup' but left them at room temperature in a Saran-wrapped bowl for three weeks.

Are they likely still viable, or should they have been wet-toweled and chilled right away?

If they are good, I'll give them away in another forum.

I'm not an expert on gemmae, but as long as they didn't dry out, I think they'll be OK. But I'd get them into a moist paper towel and in the fridge.
Or, a little more work on your part, sow them. If they sprout, you can always sell or give away the plants. If they do nothing, then someone didn't receive duds.
Just a thought.
