My Venus flytrap just ate an ant and when it opened up the hairs on the inside had weird circles of green while the rest of the inside of the trap was red. What does this mean?

The trap containing the ant’s exoskeleton is the one that I’m talking about.

Yeah what you said makes a lot of sense especially because I feed it an ant I found in some wood, and wood ants are known to use formic acid against predators. Do you know what will happen to the plant?

Worst case is that the trap dies (aka turns black).
The plant itself will be fine.
