Welcome! You have a cephalotus you grow outside here in Florida? How is that working out for you? Have you had it a while?

Thank you! I’ve had it for a couple months now and so far so good. I try to keep everything in white pots and I have a top layer of perlite to help keep the roots cooler but I’m definitely going to keep a close eye on it once we start seeing our summer time temps again

Good information to know though. Orlando is slightly cooler than where I live but only by a few degrees. The white pots help, I'm sure. Apparently they are pretty tolerant to high temperatures as long as the drop at night is significant enough. Who knows at the end of the day though, I've never heard of anyone trying to grow one here.

My friend grows a bicalcarata outside and reported they are fairly sensitive to low temperatures, I think he said under 70 degrees and his started to respond. I'd probably keep an eye out on that one as the temps get cooler and see how it acts. I used to live in Orlando, it's a nice place.

Thanks everyone for the welcomes! The cephalotus, Heliamphora and Bicalcarata are plants I’m kind of experimenting with to see how tolerant they’ll be. The bical has so far tolerated night time temps down into the mid 50s and seemed fine and still put out new leaves but I still plan on bringing it inside if it gets much cooler than that
