Here's a few of my recent pitchers from my reddish cephs.

Charles Brewer Red, just a neat typical form

Queen Mary, also just a typical. This pitcher came out a bit squat, probably not because of genetics but because I did a recent repot.

Hummer's Giant. This small pitcher is coming from a recovering root cutting I did. The new growth and pitchers are getting a bronze-ish color.

Eden Black, new-ish pitcher. It will probably get a bit more color as it ages but I couldn't wait on posting a picture.

I had a Charles Brewer non red one that I wanted to do a comparison, but I was keeping it under a different condition so I couldn't really compare if the coloration was genetics or lighting. I was about to move it to the same area, but then disaster hit and I overwatered it when it got kind of cold last week, and it suddenly collapse due to rot ;-; . I repotted it but not sure if it will make it. The rhizome looks firm so hopefully it will act as a root cutting and sprout some new growth. Here it is before it died back:

Those are all great looking. What kind of lighting do they have? I had mine under T5s but after I moved to LEDs I started to really see the color. The HG's peristome color contrast just looks so good under higher light with the vibrant green.

I'm using a Mars Hydro TSL2000. It can max out at 300W but I only turn it to the 40% mark on the dial where it actually uses ~100W. So far I'm pretty happy with it, especially since things are coloring up at below half power.

I'm actually thinking of getting a second one. At 300W it would be a heard sell since I don't want to pay that electricity fee, but at 100W feels much better. Plus at below half power it doesn't get hot.

I have a couple different lights I'm doing. I have a Mars Hydro 600W I keep the plant about 14inches away and a Yescomm 225 That I keep them about 6 inches or so. It doesn't produce the same kind of heat with the heatsink on the power cable. The Yescomm light is no doubt producing more intense color from distance but the Mar Hydro is a much more powerful light. The Yescom light wouldn't be a bad play unless the aesthetics are a factor. I have 2 Mar Hydro lights I run side by side and yescom underneath on different shelves that I use to provide different conditions (heat/humidity). Cephs are some of my favorites, so I'm experimenting with different conditions.

How far away do you keep your plants from the light? I want to put my Eden Black closer to the MH but the heat was registering at 87 degrees. I didn't want to risk it. Temp only drops to 69-70 when the lights go off.

I did a rough measurement and I have most of my cephs 40cm away from the LEDs, and my Eden Black is 25cm away.

At the lower power settings I have my lights at, my terrarium gets to be around 23-24C during the day. It may get to 25-26C in the summer and a bit colder in the winter. My terrarium is currently completely open top though so it's basically room temperature in there.

Here's my setup so far:

My power settings (I measured the wattage with a smart plug). The ballast is at most lukewarm:

And a few more cephs:
My squat, which has been sitting around like this the whole year. I just moved it from my windowsill to my terrarium so hopefully the extra light will get it to grow a bit as my windowsill only has 4-5h of sunlight at best:

A before and after pic of a pot of typicals I got off ebay a couple months ago. Since they are all TC clones, I thought I could use these for some experiments like dosing with MaxSea.

I don't typically take many pics of new additions because I like to make sure they don't straight up die on me before considering them as part of my collection, but here's a few newish additions to my collection from a few months ago:
A German Giant. It gets the same light as the Eden Black but stays kinda green.

Those look amazing. I almost want to accuse you of stealing pics off a nursery website they look pristine!

I want a ceph so bad but I'm sure I'd kill it, I've heard they're tricky. I have a sun pitcher I'm practicing on first.
